PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Verisk 3E is a leading global provider of compliance solutions, which include Regulatory Content, SDS Authoring and Management, Supply Chain Compliance and Regulatory Consulting. With EHS Regulatory Documentation OnDemand (3E ERD), Verisk 3E delivers enriched component data, product-specific safety data sheets (SDSs), label text, and supporting data for product safety and hazardous materials management. We are looking for an energetic, organized, and motivated Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs experts, ideally with work experience in hazard assessment of chemical substances under GHS/CLP.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of the 3E ERD Component management team you are responsible for data maintenance in our SAP EH&S System as well as for the creation, classification and labeling of substances. You will update existing substances based on new available data and release them to production. We are searching for support for the internal guidance team that evaluates upcoming changes in international law and assesses the impact of such changes for the substance database.  

• Assessment of toxicological and ecotoxicological studies for hazard evaluation of substances:
  • Summarizing study data
  • Drawing scientifically sound conclusions based on regulation
  • Data gap filling by using read across approach
• Maintenance of chemical component data into SAP EH&S.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of global hazard communication regulatory requirements.
• Ensures that all new and existing substances are managed up to most recent regulation, to assure compliance with global, federal and state laws.

• M.Sc/Ph.D. in relevant or equivalent discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Environmental science).
• More than 3 years of experience as Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Expert
• Strong decision-making and execution skills.
• Experience in hazard assessment of chemical substances under GHS/CLP is an advantage.
• SAP EH&S experience is an advantage.
• Ability to explain complex regulatory issues to a mixed audience.
• Passionate about his/her work, self- motivated and driven, thorough and focused, action-and-results oriented.
• Very good skills in English both written and spoken.
