Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional person to become a member of AIR family in the next generation product development team.Cloud-based enterprise portfolio platform is next generation complex big data analytics software for our world-wide insurance clients to understand quantitative financial impact of catastrophic events, like hurricanes, earthquakes, flood, or terrorist attacks.  

You will be responsible for design and development to optimize and scale this critical predictive analytics software to aid insurance industry to be prepared for future catastrophic events.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain knowledge quickly in the emerging and valuable insurance risk analytical field and understanding the increasing catastrophe model capabilities and become an expert in extremely complex data analytics

·         Proactively contribute to software performance optimizations and continuous improvements to code quality, robustness, and development processes

·         Collaborate with other developers to get things done and have a significant impact through your positive attitude, ability to multitask, and stay organized in an agile/dynamic team work environment

·         Investigate, design, prototype and evaluate technical solutions

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent technical field of study)
  • 5+ years industry experience building successful product software systems
  • Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (Java, C#, C/C++ including object-oriented design)
  • Experience in applying computer science fundamentals
  • Experience bringing product requirements into successful products through software architecture, design and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent technical field of study)
  • Interest and ability to learn new technologies and/or other coding languages as needed
  • Experience with Amazon AWS platform, cloud products and solutions
  • Experience designing and developing cloud software services for scalability, performance and reliability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Thrived in backend technologies and delivered user experience at scale
