Verisk | AI combines the energy and focus of a start-up with Verisk’s large and unique data assets and deep domain expertise. We’re looking for highly skilled, passionate and experienced candidates for technical, scientific, and managerial leadership roles in our AI team. The candidates are expected to have conducted high-quality R&D as well as have had experience in leading R&D teams in relevant areas. The areas of application are Verisk-wide and hence diverse. They include, but are not limited to, computer vision, document understanding, natural language processing, speech understanding, modeling of large-scale natural and health disasters, political risk analysis etc.

In the R&D leadership role, you’ll be expected to conduct and supervise high-impact and high-quality R&D, internally as well as with our university collaborators; to help our business units build and deliver high quality solutions and services to our business clients; and to help grow the Verisk| AI team as well as its brand in relevant R&D and business communities.

• PhD or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline
• Publications in relevant top-tier conferences or journals
• Recognition by research community (awards, program committees, workshop chairs)
• Hands-on experience building AI & ML applications and technology
• 5+ years of experience conducting machine learning research and software development
• 2+ years of experience managing teams of scientists and engineers
• Experience hiring, growing and retaining scientists and engineers
• Demonstrated ability to interact with engineering and product teams and to convert business problems into scalable AI & ML solutions
