Reporting to the Head of Sales - APAC, we are looking for a Head of Sales, Greater China to lead our China markets, based in Beijing. (We are willing to consider other locations in China for exceptional candidates).

About the role
The Head of China Sales is a member of the APAC Sales Leadership Team and carries the primary responsibility for executing a sales strategy to deliver ambitious growth in our Greater China sales territory, which includes both mainland China as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan.
He/she will be responsible for driving sales execution (including new account development, existing client growth, and client retention), achievement of sales targets for the China markets, and for contributing to the overall growth targets of the APAC sales division. The role holder will be clearly oriented towards the development of client relationships, sustainable and profitable growth in revenue, and the development of Wood Mackenzie’s business regionally in line with corporate goals and Business Plan.
To fill this role we are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced Sales leader with a proven track record in driving success in the Chinese market. Experience working in a multinational within China is considered advantageous.
The successful applicant will be highly results-driven, demonstrate exemplary leadership skills, rigorous application of process and procedure, strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking in developing a sales practice to service our diverse client base in China. They must also demonstrate strong orientation towards optimising the interfaces and collaboration between all areas of the Sales team, other sales/marketing functions, as well as other divisions of Wood Mackenzie such as Consulting and Research.
About you and how you can excel in this role
The successful executive will have a proven track record in driving success across client-facing activities in the subscription information, analytics and/or advisory space. Knowledge of the Energy, Metals & Mining sectors would be of benefit but is not required. This person needs to be highly results-driven, demonstrate exemplary leadership/management skills, rigorous in the application of process and procedure, experienced in the delivery of a transformational change agenda, as well as strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking in the development of their regional sales practice.
