Job Description

The Enterprise Data Management team (EDM) in Verisk Financial provides end-to-end data management solutions and services to clients in the Financial Services industry.  As part of this service, we offer multiple solutions and products related to enterprise data warehouse implementation, data strategy assessment, BI reporting solution etc. Implementations manager will be responsible for client relationship management, driving and delivering multiple projects, communicating with in internal teams and leads, planning and tracking multiple projects along with drive consistencies across various work steams.

Job purpose

Implementations Manager in the EDM team will: 
•    Manage client relationship and oversee projects across multiple development practices
•    Understand data and business requirements from client
•    Support data and information strategy, governance and controls
•    Deliver, direct, organize, and plan workstreams across multiple projects 
•    Drive discussions regarding business requirements and current market needs
•    Provide project management support through project life cycle
•    Drive consistency and standards across various departments/practices in EDM
•    Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
•    Coordinate cross-project activities

Key Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting and system implementation of moderate to complex business solutions
•    Responsible for managing relationships and communicating with team leads on complex projects, report on progress against goals throughout the project life cycle
•    Develop frameworks and analyses to structure and solve business problems and prioritize Implementation initiatives
•    Performs research on client needs, industry developments, data management solutions, understand business landscape, knowledge to provide foundational context for projects
•    Assists management in identifying critical issues, evaluating options, and developing action plans
•    Drives analysis and fact-based recommendations
•    Analyzes and evaluates market adjacencies and white spaces for potential investment based on the company’s strategic priorities
•    Coordinate with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
•    Assist in capturing business requirements and translating requirements in BRD documents
•    Create standard documents and processes which can be leverage across multiple projects
•    Work with a wider project team to develop and execute appropriate end user acceptance testing plans to support functional releases 
•    Identify and communicate business/project risks, along with potential mitigations
•    Drive program management, financial and technical efficiencies in the Implementation team 
•    Provide support of Business Development and BAU efforts which support the revenue growth in partnership with other Verisk Financial functional teams 
•    Partner with the development organization to facilitate overall road map planning: define work streams of cross-functional initiatives, help teams define scope, deliverable, and schedules, and coordinate release planning across multiple teams for multiple stakeholders
•    Execute cross-functional communications strategies
•    Drive adoption to Project Management best practices, help execute Implementation team initiatives, standardization of processes, strengthen documentation for operational purposes and business continuity  

 

Qualifications

Experience:
•    Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Information System or Business Management or equivalent degree
•    5 or more years’ experience of financial services, banking products and processes

Skills:
•    Functional knowledge and banking experience in Risk, Finance, Strategy
•    Data and process knowledge about credit cards and other loan products 
•    Knowledge about consumer and commercial banking products (preferred)
•    Excellent research skills, ability to succinctly summarize findings and to strategically frame challenges and opportunities
•    Project management skills and necessary PM certifications like PMP, PPM , Lean Six Sigma or equivalent (preferred)
•    Solid quantitative/analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
•    Proven stakeholder management and organizational skills
•    Proven experience leading a project team
•    Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
