Verisk 3E is searching for an HR Generalist II to join the team.  In this role, you will support local and regional HR activities.  This position can be based in our Bethesda, MD or Canton, OH offices.

The Human Resource Generalist II is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting our global business. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: On-boarding and off-boarding, HR operations, performance management, metrics and data analysis, policy implementation, employee relations, engagement and employment law compliance.

  • Employee on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Process and track employee/departmental changes through HRIS; Reviews for accuracy and follow up with Corporate payroll department, managers and employees
  • Global PTO and timekeeping – work directly with managers and Financial Systems to ensure compliance.
  • Administers contingent worker process, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
  • Provide responsive customer service and support to all employees regarding HR policy and programs
  • Maintains company organization charts and directory photos
  • Leads employee engagement programs, which include employee wellness, DI&B and partners with offices to coordinate on-site events. Leads ad-hoc HR & other company events as directed by department
  • Administers the company performance management process, including company communication, roll out and tracking of performance review and annual objectives.
  • Partner with management in local office to build strong relationships and increase engagement. Assists with employee relations issues and partners with HR management to resolve.
  • Prepares monthly reports, metrics and HR dashboard by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Complies with state and federal laws by keeping up to date with new and existing legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed action.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Completes all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Human Resource experience.
  • Current knowledge of multi-state and Federal employment and labor regulations, as well as current HR practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must have strong verbal/written communication, trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under strict timeline pressures
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Experience with data analysis and HR metrics
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) – specifically advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Exceptional customer service and focus
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; process oriented
  • Must be a team player and encompass company values
  • Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to lead and deliver on department projects
  • Periodic travel to corporate and remote offices will be required.
