Job Description

AIR Worldwide Ltd is looking for a highly passionate, motivated individual to join the Consulting and Client Services Group in London.  As a member of AIR’s consulting and client services team based in London, you will provide services to our London and international insurance and reinsurance clients. Use your technical, analytical, and project management skills to work with clients to enhance their usage of the AIR suite of solutions and help troubleshoot any software-related issues. You will work closely across the software development and product teams and may participate in research/model development projects.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

·        Provide day to day client support helping clients use AIR’s software platforms and understand AIR’s catastrophe models and their output

·        Provide training sessions to clients to help them understand and use AIR software and models

·        Perform sophisticated risk analyses using AIR's cutting-edge technology for insurers, brokers, and other financial intermediaries in the internationally expanding business of catastrophe risk management

·        This role will have a dedicated portion of time committed to supporting our casualty analytics platform, Arium.  Arium is a young visual product with a highly dynamic development team, requiring a flexible and driven approach.  An ability to code in R or Python and an interest in helping create and support a new type of model is strongly desired

·        Creating and giving presentations to clients, being able to effectively distil complex analytics in an easily understandable manner

·        Help clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through explanation and interpretation of modelling results

·        Develop a deep understanding of AIR models and software, working knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance market and be able to advise clients on workflows and cat modelling best practices

·        Potential opportunity to learn about AIR’s cyber modelling offerings and become involved in supporting clients using the ARC cyber modelling solution and involvement in cyber consultancy projects

Qualifications

About You and How You Can Excel in This Role

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, a solid understanding of probability concepts, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to client services.
  • Knowledge of Touchstone, Touchstone Re and/or CATRADER is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance and the Lloyds market is also desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills are also required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Ability to code in languages such as SQL, R, Python will be beneficial. Knowledge of ArcGIS would be desirable.

·       Proficiency in oral and written communication is highly desirable, particularly the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.

·       Prior experience in the visualisation and communication of risk e.g. via animations, video, infographics or other means would be desirable (but not essential).

 

Education Requirements

A degree is required in one of the following preferred disciplines: science, engineering, mathematics, economics or law
