Wood Mackenzie provides expert consulting services to hundreds of industry stakeholders globally, including regional operators, national and international oil companies, financial institutions and governments. Role Purpose

As a key member of our Chemicals Consulting team, you will support the successful delivery of commercial and strategic consultancy projects in the chemicals industry. You will be part of a fast-growing team with some of the best in the business.

The role requires a high level of problem-solving and analysis combined with strong communication and teamwork skills.

The successful candidate can expect moderate travel, both regional and global.

Main Responsibilities

  • Structuring consulting projects in line with the client’s issues and needs and developing effective work plans
  • Conducting analysis to identify issues, form hypotheses and develop conclusions into recommendations while using facts and data from various sources
  • Extracting key messages in a clear and concise way, and participating in the production, development and delivery of client presentations
  • Communicating recommendations and sensitive messages to senior level client audience
  • Conducting interviews with clients and industry contacts
  • Contributing to new project scoping, lead discussions and work proposal drafting

 

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field, master's degree preferred
  • Individual should have anywhere between 1-3 years experience in a related position is preferred
  • Excellent academic record with a major in engineering, business, economics, finance, statistics or other relevant discipline
  • Team-oriented, yet able to drive own work independently
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and a high level of initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills to adapt rapidly to diverse environments
  • Knowledge and experience of petrochemical/polymers industry strongly preferred
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
