Job Description

As a Team Lead you will work with group of team members providing directions/instructions and guidance to achieve organization or QA goals. You could work with products that stretch the limits of technology within a unique synergy of cutting-edge science, finance and state of the art software and hardware technologies. You will build your own expertise and knowledge base, adding to your experience in delivering reliable and robust solutions for the analytical marketplace. You will use your multi-tasking abilities along with your excellent verbal and written communication skills as the key to your success.   • Gather requirement updates and understand the scope of Model/Product feature updates and identify the scope of testing.
  • Develop understanding on natural catastrophes such as Earthquake, Cyclone and Floods etc. and key parameters that drive the occurrence and spread of any natural event. Further understand the process of generation of stochastic Models and the modelling approach.
  • Perform advanced statistical and mathematical insurance analytics tasks to validate model outputs.
  • Understanding on explicit and implicit validation of scientific/ financial algorithms to ensure that products meet requirements for output reason-ability.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching to newcomers to ramp up the learning curve in quick time.
  • Ensure the developed test plans are covering full test coverage based on feature/model updates and client workflow.
  • Setting clear goals for the team and delegating tasks with set deadlines.
  • Keep track of changes happening on Model/Product front and monitor if team has taken necessary steps on testing front.
  • Taking care of hardware and software requirements for the test setup
  • Collaborate with Model development and product owner teams to get the timely fix for defects reported.
  • Attending the regular product/QA status meetings and provide indications on project status to the rest stakeholders.
  • Responsible to prepare technical model studies and conduct internal training's on those topics to the team.  
  • Peer review the work of other team members.
  • Designing and helping in creation of architecture for test automation.
  • Implement and or expand use of automated testing practices throughout the life cycle.
  • Collaborate with peer teams to facilitate timely completion of projects.
  • Ability to multitask to manage concurrent delivery of multiple enterprise grade products.
  • Listen to the team feedback and act upon it.
  • Gain command on Touchstone software by understanding the various functionalities involved in the product and get a grasp of any new technology needed.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience for a computational analytics company.
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Mathematics with excellent credentials.
  • Proven experience on leading team/projects, logical and clear thinker having capability to make decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and experience working in distributed and global teams with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collectively work with others.
  • Able to mentor and train others.
  • Talent acquisition skill.
  • Thorough understanding and hands on experience with relational databases such as MS-SQL.
  •  Experience with either statistical, mathematical software packages like R; or generally with analytical software.
  • Experience with designing and /or validating numerical probabilistic models in engineering, science, catastrophe modeling,Proven analytical and problem-solving quantitative abilities.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, to interface with cross-functional teams that are talented, culturally diverse, global and widely varying technical skill sets.
  • Knowledge of product development life cycles to ensure the critical role of quality assurance teams.
