Job Description

Do you have an Actuarial background or are you an innovative Product Manager with a deep understanding of Property Catastrophe insurance pricing, who finds challenge in product development or improvement and with interest in building strong business partnerships?

As a Product Manager/Actuary in the Product Team at Analyze Re, you will be responsible for driving product innovations and roadmaps focusing on pricing and DFA capabilities.

You need to collaborate well with others, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable providing feedback. We want someone with creativity, high energy, and high standards.

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties: 

·    Collect and investigate customer input to find insights and support future software product innovations and roadmaps with a particular focus on actuarial pricing, contract structuring, portfolio management, and capital modeling capabilities.

·    Partner with software engineers to achieve release plans in an agile fashion. Improve time to market of new features and capabilities for our software platform and ensure customer satisfaction with new features.

·    Develop realistic demo workflow collateral to highlight new and existing software capabilities to customers. 

·    Promote agile development and continuous improvement.

·    Partner with team to continually improve existing processes

Qualifications

·    Bachelor’s degree in Math, Economics, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Data Science or related discipline required.

·    2+ years professional experience in Property & Catastrophe Insurance industry from a cat modeling, actuarial/pricing, portfolio management or underwriting perspective will be highly valuable.

·    Strong background with Python and Git required.  

·    Demonstrable understanding of Genetic Algorithms a significant plus.

·    Strong a record of building great internal or external customer relationships that focus upon gaining actionable insights and forming collaborative partnerships with the goal of innovation, product improvement or ease of use.

·    Experience with data analysis and working with combining multiple data sources, including third-party catastrophe modeling data.

·    Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire strongly preferred.

·    Strong background in Agile development practices and professional experience with desktop applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PPT will be highly valuable.
