We are recruiting for a Transportation & Mobility Principal Analyst to lead our research activities in this area as part of the global Energy Transition Research group.  This new role provides an exceptional opportunity to develop new research and analysis focused on understanding how technological change in the transportation and mobility sector is advancing decarbonisation, electrification, and sustainability efforts.   These profound changes will influence the global energy and natural resource markets in which our clients operate.  Your role will shape the delivery of commercially focused data, analytics and thought leadership that helps our clients to understand the transportation sector will drive the energy transition, what it means for our clients’ businesses, and the strategies they should adopt for the future. 

 

 This role can be located in Houston, New York, Boston, London, Edinburgh, or Singapore.

 

About you and how you can excel in this role

You understand the value of data and expert insight for business decision-making and want to work in a leading research, analytics and consultancy organisation. You are passionate about leadership and excellence.   

You are an experienced analyst, with strong interpersonal skills and significant knowledge of the vehicle transportation industry.  It would be an advantage if you have worked with an auto producer or research organization analysing electrification trends and technologies.  

You are passionate about what you do and the quality of your work makes you credible with clients and able to engage at the senior level.  You are energised by asking questions and thinking creatively.

About the role

You will represent Wood Mackenzie’s expertise on transportation and the role of new technologies impacting transitions in energy demand to our clients and to the industry at large. 

You will be the custodian of our methodologies to analyse transportation and mobility trends and their demand impacts.  And you will grow Wood Mackenzie’s brand and profile through ongoing published though leadership.

You will be joining a team of analysts and subject matter experts producing world-class commercial data, analytics and insight.  Specifically, you will be responsible for producing high quality research and the commercial development of our Energy Transition and Electric Vehicle research product suite. 

You will be able to prioritise what matters to clients. Given your engagement with your network of contacts, you will understand their businesses and priorities, and translate those into the product suite to drive commercial growth.

You will also work with client management and consulting to generate new research, sales and consulting opportunities.
