Job Description

  • Build and develop a high performing team and drive Software Product Development (Team of 25-35 Developers).
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of current applications, domain knowledge and business requirements.
  • Lead efforts to develop, document, implement & improve software development best practices with a focus on delivering high quality solutions using Agile development methodologies.
  • Drive ownership at every level of the organization
  • Build a spirit of collaboration and cooperation with peers and superiors at Hyderabad and Boston
  • Collaborate with peer groups across the company. Mentor and coach peers and subordinates on the Software development process, implement best practices and provide guidance as needed.
  • Mentor & coach line managers on people management, conduct performance appraisals and skip level meetings
  • Report to top management at Hyderabad/Boston on the relevant delivery metrics & consistently improve the metrics.
  • Collaborate with peer groups across the company to drive strategic initiatives and innovation across organization, improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process.
  • Ensure that the project milestones and deliverables are adhered to and the work is completed according to the schedule with the quality that meets or beats internal and external customer expectations.
  • Communicate & mitigate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • 12-18 years Industry experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership of software development in an Agile environment
  • Hands-on capability in software architecture, design and development.
  • Extensive application development experience in C#/C++, Microsoft SQLServer, Microsoft HPC and Large relational databases in distributed computing environment, building highly scalable and highly available enterprise applications.
  • Agile software development experience.
  • Internal and external client-focused attitude with excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to present to senior-level audience.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of organization and must be self-motivated.
  • WPF, Web/Cloud, .Net Core, Angular JS development is a plus.
  • Insurance & Reinsurance knowledge is preferred, but not a must
