G2 is seeking smart, independent thinking software engineers to join our expanding engineering team. Individuals in this role will work on a wide variety of maintenance and new development projects, providing numerous opportunities for growth.  Successful candidates will be well versed in multiple technology stacks, and capable of developing new skills quickly. 

• 0-3 Years of software development experience.
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
• Experience with one or more modern interpreted languages (Ruby, PHP, Python)
• Experience with one or more modern compiled language (Java, C#, C++)
• Strong understanding of OOP
• Strong understanding of OOP design
• Strong understanding of design principles within a service-oriented architecture
• Strong understanding of SQL and NOSQL data storage solutions. 
• Exposure to mature development processes including the use of source code control and continuous integration systems
• Strong written and oral communication systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Chef
• Exposure to Elasticsearch/Lucene
• Experience with one or more modern web application frameworks, such as Rails, Django, or Laravel
• Experience working with Cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Digital Ocean.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams
• Exposure to Docker or other container solutions
