Job Description

 

  • Implement and/or expand use of automated testing practices throughout the software development life cycle using Agile Scrum methodology;
  • Build and maintain test automation using visual studio, ASP.NET, C# and other commercial automation tools like SilkTest, QTP or Quality Center;
  • Develop and execute functional, UI, Soap UI, API, Web Service test scripts against different windows operating systems;
  • Perform database validation and testing using knowledge of relational databases such as MS-SQL or Oracle, and write SQL queries;
  • Perform in-sprint and regression testing;
  • Report issues using defect tracking tool like Clearquest, Bugzilla or Jira and update test documentation accordingly based on fixed issues; 
  • Deliver detailed plans and milestones and be ready for intense peer reviews by cross functional teams;
  • Acquire and or demonstrate domain knowledge in the insurance domain and lead functional specification reviews;
  • Ensure that products meet exacting requirements for accuracy and explicit and or implicit validation of scientific/ financial methodologies; and
  • In performing job duties, use knowledge of SQL Server, SQL Scripts/Queries, Java Scripting, jQuery, VB, Peril, Python, R Scripting, Windows Networking, APIs, Excel, HTML/XML, .NET, C#, Java and TFS.

Qualifications

 Requirements: Master’s degree in computer science, applied computer science, information systems, science, engineering, mathematics or a related field, or foreign academic equivalent, including coursework and/or projects in the following:

  • Object Oriented Programming using C#.NET or Java or C/C++
  • Knowledge on QA Processes
  • Scripting using Java or Basic or Peril or R languages
  • Backend databases like SQL, Oracle or MS Access

Hours:                        40/week, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
