Job Description

Grow your career by becoming a member of AIR’s Product Management team. Your position as a Product Manager in the product management team will be responsible for contributing to driving automated client workflows by the power of APIs bringing AIR modeled results and data to their applications. You will enrich our API road-maps by driving vision, participating in product planning, requirement development and implementation activities.

Responsibilities:

  • You should be a gatekeeper for API changes across the platforms.
  • Advocate for API best practices across products
  • Ensure that the API road-map is fully formed and on track
  • Ensure that new product features have full API capability where applicable.
  • Verify API functionality first hand for Definition of Done.
  • Facilities client integration projects with the help of our Integration service team.
  • Meet and discuss workflows with clients to become the “voice of the customer”
  • You should be able to advocate for best practices and change in flexible areas
  • Developing technical expertise in understanding the use of models and performing sophisticated risk analyses using AIR's cutting-edge technology for insurers, brokers, and other financial intermediaries in the internationally expanding business of catastrophe risk management
  • Supporting development efforts by documenting software requirements
  • Supporting documentation efforts by documenting software features
  • Collaborating with software developers, sales, consulting, researchers and subject matter experts
  • Assist Consulting team in investigating and resolving issues reported in AIR products

Qualifications

  • Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor preferred
  • Ability to balance multiple objectives, projects, stakeholders and goals simultaneously and "on the fly"
  • Demonstrated ability to include the "big picture" when developing products and plans for new initiatives
  • Experience and demonstrated skills communicating with peers, managers, and senior leadership
  • Strong analytical skills, quantitative and problem solving ability, including deep experience with SOAP and REST APIs
  • Demonstrated business analysis experience for software development including requirements management, use case development and project management
  • Someone who can work independently and come up with an outline of a requirement
  • Self-motivated and quick learner, with good organization and time management skills
  • 5+ years software product management or business analysis experience
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices is a plus (but not required)
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking and written communication skills

Education and Training:

BS degree, preferably with a technical (e.g., engineering, math) or applied science concentration
