Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Global Solar Research to join our Power & Renewables team. (Global locations will be considered in Houston, Boston, New York, London, Edinburgh, Shanghai, Beijing, or Singapore). Wood Mackenzie Power and Renewables provides integrated subscription, research and advisory services to inform and support our client’s commercial and strategic decisions in the complex and rapidly changing electric power industry.
Combining our deep knowledge of solar, wind, storage, and grid technologies, with our global power and fuels modelling and analysis capabilities, Wood Mackenzie can provide data and insight spanning supply chain, technology costs, policy and market issues, fundamentals-based outlooks, price forecasting, asset valuation, and commodity market issues. The solar research practice at Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables leverages unique, proprietary information and industry channels to serve clients across the solar industry value chain and around the globe. About the role
As part of a world-class team of industry experts, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated content strategy for Wood Mackenzie’s Global Solar research. The Director will lead Wood Mackenzie’s solar research team and work with senior leaders across the entire Wood Mackenzie organisation to develop the research agenda and drive thought leadership for solar, covering the entire value chain.
The Director will also be responsible for Wood Mackenzie’s global views of the Solar sector and be a key global spokesperson for Solar, covering media and senior-level client interactions. Finally, the Director will work directly with the Sales and Consulting teams to engage with clients and grow new research and consulting business. You will develop a unique perspective and understanding of the Solar Industry. Your knowledge will be highly valued by Wood Mackenzie's clients, with whom you will share your insight via industry-leading written reports, economic models and presentations.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Minimum of Bachelor degree or similar degree in related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in similiar role
