Job Description

As a member of AIR’s Data Services team based in London, you will provide a first point of contact to our London and international insurance and reinsurance clients. You will be integral in assisting our outsourcing team in Hyderabad, India in the interpretation of risk data. Use your technical, analytical, time management skills, and knowledge of the insurance market, to work with clients to enhance their usage of the AIR suite of solutions and help manage their expectations. You will also work closely with the Client Support team in London, across the software development and Product teams and will participate in software migration projects.

Main responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Perform Quality Assurance checks on accounts that have been modelled by AIR in Hyderabad, using AIR’s latest software
  • Become skilled in all AIR’s Catastrophe modelling software, in order to be able to engage with clients confidently, and reproduce results modelled in Hyderabad in the event of discrepancies
  • Add value to modelled results through customization of output tailored to the needs of clients
  • Communicate directly with Data Services clients to develop project timelines and manage deliverable expectations
  • Help clients reliably assess and manage their catastrophe loss potential through interpretation of modelling results
  • Produce status reports for clients to monitor Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Liaise with our International offices regarding Data Services related projects, and be influential in the development of current and future processes

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Must display attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office is essential, intermediate Excel is preferable
  • Previous experience or knowledge of the Lloyd’s insurance market would be advantageous
  • Keen interest in natural hazards and catastrophe modelling industry

Education Requirements

A degree in science, engineering or mathematics is preferable.
