Job Description
Position Summary: The Executive Director of Digital Strategy will work in partnership with the SVP of Digital Sales to set the strategic direction for the Digital division, lead key initiatives to conclusion, and serve in a Chief of Staff capacity for the SVP of Digital Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Executive Director of Digital Strategy fall into three key focus areas – Strategy, Project Management, and Chief of Staff function.
Strategy
- Develop and implement internal and external strategies to maintain and grow the Digital division
- Partner with the SVP of Digital Sales, Sales Leaders, Sellers and Client Strategy teams to drive growth opportunities, organizational capabilities, strategies, concepts, and solutions
- Work with the Product team and provide expertise to drive the Digital narrative
- Partner with Client Strategy and Marketing to provide Digital expertise on competitive landscape and positioning with cross-functional consideration
- Increase Vericast brand and name recognition in the industry. Utilize speaking engagement opportunities, become involved in recognized industry committees/meetings/forums, etc.
Project Management
- Design and lead assigned projects and initiatives – Work cross-functionally to ensure all relevant functions are coordinated and collaborating
- Manage to conclusion projects and initiatives and ensure timelines are established and met
- Track, measure, scorecard all key initiatives
Chief of Staff
- Trusted advisor and brainstorming partner
- Proxy for SVP of Digital as needed
- Help prep SVP of Digital for important meetings
- Organizational design input
- Key change agent for the organization
Qualifications
Education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in the fields of Business, Marketing, or Communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience / Skills and Competencies:
- 15+ years of working experience in digital media, advertising, sales and/or partnership development with CPGs and/or Retailers
- 6+ years of Project or Program Management experience within capacity of prior work experience
- Leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience with digital media platforms, advertising metrics, and industry trends
- Develop strategic plans that successfully drive revenue
- Demonstrate ability to influence to action and work cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented and diligent work ethic with excellent organizational, project/time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proactivity and executional excellence with ability to autonomously implement improvements to existing strategies and executional methods
- Experience leading cross functional teams and working groups with the ability to influence various levels of management.
- Ability to excel in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires a fast learning, flexible thinking, and demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
- Emotional (EQ) and Cognitive (IQ) Intelligence; ability to read those around you and appropriately respond intellectually and emotionally
- Adapt to change; including the market, products and internal company initiatives
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and MicroSoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with demonstrated mastery of presenting innovative solutions to client business challenges and internal communications platforms (PowerPoint, Word)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience analyzing datasets and delivering insights.
Additional Information
Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000
Position is eligible for a sales bonus program
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
