Job Description

Position SummaryEnable Sales by providing category insights, market expertise and strategies to champion existing and incremental revenue opportunities primarily in the Telecom, Retail and Restaurant industries, to ensure customer satisfaction, and to partner for business success and client growth. The position is responsible for developing data driven, client focused, integrated solutions and articulating Vericast’ value, positioning and go-to-market strategy by leveraging Product and Corporate marketing materials and other resources, to maintain consistent messaging. This role focuses on driving and enhancing the relationships between prospects, clients, cross functional groups and the Vericast Sales Team to create demand as well as to protect and defend our business.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

Create Demand - Proactively identify and evaluate sales opportunities utilizing      internal/external resources, client planning sessions, industry trends and best practice sharing. Leverage syndicated and proprietary data/resources and provide supporting research/proof/success stories. Champion integrated print + digital solutions with Sales to help position and sell Vericast products and services. Develop content, participate, and present in key client meetings.

Strategize with sales leaders and sales Pods, focusing on pre-sales opportunities and post-sales campaign optimization needed to solve client needs and advance the relationship.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Insights & Analytics and other teams, to gather and analyze data to increase sales and client retention.

Work with CS&S team members on renewals, up-sells, implementation planning, training and referrals. (65%)

Vertical and Client Experts – (Direct client engagement) Partner with sales to proactively find opportunities to directly engage with current and perspective clients.  Seek to understand their marketing objectives and dollars being spent to support sales in proposing the right product mix.  Utilize commercial insights and data and analytics to lead the client to the Vericast solutions. (20%)

Understand and implement strategies based on trends that affect clients in assigned Vericast vertical (CPG, Grocery, Finance, etc)

Product and Presentation Experts – Apply knowledge and expertise of products and presentations to client ready documents, to align with sales and client goals that ultimately drive revenue.

Update all client specific document libraries and all client facing materials to ensure they are current, accessible and organized and that they align with the Corporate go-to-market goals, messaging and strategies. (10%)

Learning and Development - Work with the Sales Leaders and Sales Enablement to assess training needs of sales teams and implement training regimen for ongoing skill improvement. Introduce Vericast tools to the sales team and create application to the client selling/solution process. (5%)

Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in the preferred disciplines: Marketing, Advertising, Communications, PR, Analytics or other related

Experience / Skills / Abilities:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience required in a Strategy, Marketing, Advertising role.
  • Knowledge and experience preferred in the following industries:  Telecom, Retail and Restaurant
  • Advanced level strategic thinking ability.
  • Highly independent, creative and collaborative with other teams  
  • Strong skills in initiative, persuasion and overcoming objections
  • High attention to detail and strategic storytelling.
  • Ability to build relationships/rapport with clients, prospects and industry contacts
  • Ability to present to large and key groups, persuade individuals/groups and negotiate effective solutions between key clients.
  • Strong interest/experience in digital, mobile and other emerging media preferred.
  • High level of comfort and experienced in working with and interpreting syndicated data (Scarborough, Prosper, Kantar, IRI, etc.)
  • Broad conceptual judgment and ability to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated; think outside of the box.
  • Ability to address complex business issues beyond immediate needs or where established policies may not be aligned with business needs/objectives
  • Ability to prioritize to ensure the highest quality work and deliverables for internal/external customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills, Microsoft office, strong research, analytics and market intelligence experience

Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and different departments to support job responsibilities and projects.  Also, ability to interact with key clients and vendors in positive and effective manner.

Develop advanced level strategic initiatives; work with marketing and sales management on decisions changing policy and process

Other:

Travel via automobile or airplane may be required, up to 25% of the time.

Additional Information

Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000

Position is eligible for a sales commission and bonus program

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
