Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the local administration of the company's Process Quality (PQ) program. Hires, supervises and trains plant PQ Supervisors, Coordinators, and Technicians. Develops and implements Quality process controls and procedures both locally and across the manufacturing network; works with sales, marketing, outside vendors, and customers on a supportive/consultative basis; works with corporate staff departments on product development, new technology development/testing and new client product development; works with Process Quality Champion and/or Director. Champion of PQ for their location works with all plant team members to standardize processes and procedures across the manufacturing network. Assist the Marketing Process in the planning and deployment of new product implementation.

Qualifications

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hires, supervises and trains plant Process Quality (PQ) team members.
  • Answers questions/solve problems for sales, clients, customers and other manufacturing locations. Prepares and issues correspondence and reports to sales, clients, customers, other processes and to the field as needed. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of plant and process performance. Prepares and presents formal presentations to employees, sales and clients as required.
  • Lead and/or participate in key company projects or initiatives.
  • Defines and implements process controls.
  • Takes necessary measures to develop teamwork, ensure open lines of communication and encourage a consistent flow of ideas and best practices between plants.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • Three plus years field Quality Assurance Quality Control or Process Quality related experience. Knowledge of Harland Clarke process controls systems, procedures, and products, preferred. Technical and computer knowledge. Project Management Skills.

COMMUNICATION & CONTACTS

Position is in contact with all manufacturing network locations, corporate support employees, and client personnel and outside vendors. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

DECISION MAKING

Hiring, coaching and counseling of all employees at location. Setting Process Quality standards and correcting process control issues in both your location and the Harland Clarke manufacturing network. Establishing priorities for PQ team ensuring products and services meet all client and customer requirements.

OTHER

Supervisory Responsibilities: Process Quality (PQ) Supervisor, PQ Technician & PQ Coordinator (when applicable).

Additional Information

Annual Salary: $80,000-$85,000 + 10% bonus opportunity
