Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled systems engineer to support our Customer Data Platform (CDP) application.  In this role, you will utilize broad technical expertise to identify issues, implement fixes, apply strategies to improve monitoring, and utilize communication skills to tightly coordinate with our customer success team.  You will work on the full stack of complex systems, ensuring application stability and success. Responsibilities

  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Refer to Confluence documentation or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Identify opportunities that allow us to work smarter, not harder
  • Focus on metrics to reduce tickets through better technology, configuration and automation
  • Design and maintain expertise in flow of application process and systems related to company.
  • Manage alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
  • Document current processes and procedures
  • Facilitate and manage complex issues from triage through to escalation and resolution
  • Work with a variety of project teams and stakeholders to deliver best in class service

Qualifications

Common Skills and Qualifications

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of hands on, relevant experience in an IT/technical role
  • Systems level programming skills (C# or VB.NET, Perl, JS, Angular JS)
  • Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
  • SQL Server configuration and understanding/writing basic SQL queries.
  • Windows Server and IIS administration
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and server operating systems
  • Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring
  • Consult with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance
  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk, Jira)

Additional Information

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
