Job Description

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is a motivated Product Marketing expert. This position will have responsibility for leading the go-to-market process, from a product marketing perspective, for Vericast’s new marketing technology platform: NXTDRIVE. The Senior Product Marketing Manager owns the positioning and messaging that will enable Vericast to educate the market and build excitement as the company drives toward launch of this innovative new offering. This position has direct product marketing responsibilities, focused on driving revenue for the company through traction for this product in the marketing technology market.  This process manager ensures that the overall framing of Vericast’s NXTDRIVE resonates in the market and with sales. They will collaborate with teams from Product Management, Sales, Client Strategy, Sales Enablement, Demand Generation, Brand, Social, Content, Events, Creative Services and Marketing Operations.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Positioning:  Own, grow and evolve the positioning for Vericast NXTDRIVE to maximize revenue generating potential for sales. Key activities include: Collaboration with the Brand team on overall brand architecture. Development of buyer personas to inform development of marketing messaging, demand generation and thought leadership content development. Conduct research in the market and with our sales organization. Conduct competitive intelligence. Develop the brand promise for each product – defining    what we are solving for. Product launch activities (prioritization of tasks, messaging, alignment with partners and final execution). 35%

•   Sales Enablement:  Develop, deploy, and maintain all marketing deliverables to maximize revenue generating potential for sales.  Key deliverables include: Sales presentations. Brochures, product sheets, and FAQs. Infographics and white papers. Client testimonials and case studies. Web content. Product videos. Market maps (where do we fit in the market). Product playbooks (a summary of everything sales needs on page 1). Product training content and deployment of marketing assets in our Sales Resource system (Seismic). Marketing activity updates. 35%

•   Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Develop and nurture strong collaborative relationships with other key functions within the marketing organization, as well as throughout the company to support all product marketing activities.  Key deliverables include: Collaborate with other members of the Product Marketing team on overall product marketing initiatives. Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales Enablement on all go-to-market activities. Collaborate closely with Brand, Social, Content, Demand Generation, Events and Creative teams to optimize marketing consistency, best practices, and synchronization. Collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure that content is protected and approved. Build and own relationships with appropriate external vendors as needed. 30%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing or outbound marketing/demand generation in SaaS (software as a service) industry preferred
  • Understanding of the digital marketing landscape: marketing automation; demand generation; personalization; sales enablement/effectiveness; attribution reporting; campaign management
  • Experience working across multiple verticals; prior experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, financial services and/or hospitality industries is preferred
