Job Description

The Social Media Community Manager will oversee the daily management and strategic development of Vericast’s social media communities (includes both B2B and B2C brands). This role will be responsible for building and maintaining brand reputation through social channels as well as fostering strong relationships with followers, industry influencers and key decision-makers through exceptional communications and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sophisticated business acumen with ability to synthesize complex martech topics, a track record of building and maintaining a community of engaged social media followers, and extensive knowledge of social media best practices.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Serve as main point of contact for the company’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) 20%
  • Interact with community members/followers/customers in a personable and timely manner, building positive engagement and sentiment 20%
  • Own organic audience growth through outreach strategy, tracking sentiment and bringing unique ideas for outreach within respective social media communities and key audience personas 15%
  • Be the subject matter expert in the ever-changing best practices for social media interactions 10%
  • Utilize social listening tools to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends, strive to boost engagement and quickly resolve any potential conflicts that may affect brand reputation 10%
  • Conduct ongoing social listening and competitive audits, tracking mentions and conversations while analyzing them for insights to discover opportunities for growth and expansion 5%
  • Foster and strengthen new relationships with key influencers within respective social media communities 5%
  • Assist social media team in developing a unique brand voice and deploying consistent messaging across platforms for B2B and B2C social media accounts 5%
  • Generate comprehensive reports on overall community sentiment, FAQs, and notable trends 5%
  • Assist in the growth of our internal social advocacy program, encouraging employees to interact with Vericast handles on social and educating users on best practices 5%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related field (Required)
  • 3+ Years managing professional social media accounts (experience in both B2B and B2C preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in growing social media presence on multiple platforms resulting in increased audience engagement and community growth/affinity
  • Proficient with social media management tools and software for community management (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.) and social media analytics/listening tools
  • Previous experience diffusing complaints on social media and knowledge of customer service best practices
  • Previous admin experience with employee advocacy/communications platform, experience building strong rapport with internal stakeholders (preferred)
  • Earnest desire to build relationships, through internal employee advocacy and communications as well as external relationships with online stakeholders
  • Must be self-motivated but also able to effectively collaborate, work in teams and build good working relationships across multiple departments
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Interest in being part of a diverse, distributed team of good humans who genuinely like one another and enjoy what they do
