Job Description

The Insights & Strategy Consultant will bring strategic, analytical and innovative thinking to solve the challenges our clients face in activating consumers. They will connect the dots between client needs, product capabilities and cross functional partners to provide intelligent media and measurement solutions.  This role will build annual media (print, digital or both) marketing and measurement strategies for our top clients with long-term client success and growth as the objective.  Candidates in this role will influence client strategy with external and internal partners through cross-functional partnerships.  They will be a leader in driving Vericast media strategy and CPG vertical expertise. 

The ideal candidate is developing cross functional leadership and project management skills.  They are looked to by peers for guidance.  They have strong ownership of projects and are developing skills to take command in meetings.  They are known for their client expertise and take proactive initiative.

This is a key role in the continued growth and success of Vericast. The ideal candidate will act as a senior advocate, analyst and adviser for some of the largest advertisers in the world and be a critical bridge across the Vericast organizations.  They will be looked upon in the organization as an expert in the CPG vertical in support of Vericast revenue growth.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

Client Strategy – 50%

Support Sales team with insights on media campaigns.  Digest data into understandable elements of telling a story to clients about media performance.  Provides standard and custom media analysis for specifically assigned accounts aligning to client objectives. Consults with clients and sales on standard measurement methodology and set-up, and custom options when required.  Completes measurement analysis with insightful summary and recommendations. Presents media measurement results to all client types – small, medium and large-tier. 

Develop unique proactive strategies and build upon current client media strategies to increase

revenue and drive sustainable value for our top clients.  Influence development of structure, rationale and product mix for upfront and preferred pricing agreements for top clients working across sales, product and finance.  Build media strategy within print, digital and integrated contracts to drive cross product adoption and increase customer ROI.  Approaches client base as a portfolio, understanding revenue impacts, prioritization and cross functional influences. 

Analytics – 30%

Strong ability to analyze measurement and insights reports to build out the story on how the results relate to the client/campaign strategy.  Can find the positive and negative threads to build a story to influence future media strategy.  Proficient in discussing analytic and measurement solutions during the planning, execution and post campaign phases.  Understands impact of overall results to drive client strategy – can recognize trends, makes recommendations for media changes, understands market performance and builds influence across the organization. 

Presents media measurement results to larger clients. Trains and coaches junior team members. 

Applies knowledge to improve overall processes and deliverables, starting to develop influence across the org to challenge status quo.

Product, Cross Functional & Industry Expertise – 20%

Build relationships with cross functional partners in product, marketing and sales organizations to influence measurement strategy.  Brings client and sales feedback to cross functional teams to apply real-world knowledge of client needs.  Act as knowledge center for our media products.  Share best practices with the Sales & Services organization on an ongoing basis, ensuring good partnership and support of selling with insights.   Plays a role in seller and cross-functional training content.  Participates in cross-functional teams across Vericast to set media strategy and planning.

Liaison to internal print and digital teams representing the voice of key clients and the vertical consumer to influence Vericast product and innovation objectives.  Attend industry conferences & events to stay close with the needs of clients and industry trends.

Qualifications

Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in advertising or marketing/client strategy in specific CPG vertical.  Tableau, Powerpoint, Excel experience desired.  Analytical mindset/problem-solving skills.

Education & Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data science, business or analytics.  Understanding of media, business or marketing.  Able to use data as a tool for storytelling
