Position Summary

Responsible for the coordination of print jobs for the continuous print process.  Releases Host jobs to printer, processes job tickets, and is responsible for print quality and alignment of text, color, MICR, etc.  Must be able to load roll stock and web printer. Responsible for system reports and replenishing of consumables as necessary.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for managing print jobs work in priority order, including prioritizing and selecting proper job setup. Responsible for doing minor repairs, autonomous and preventative maintenance, to ensure printer runs effectively. Responsible for initialzing Canon service calls and inkjet alerts to leadership. Must be flexible and have the ability to work overtime and cover other shifts, sometimes on short notice.  Position frequently interacts with people from natural teams sharing data and/or information.  Performance Excellence qualities such as positive attitude, sense of urgency, enthusiasm, team oriented, commitment to excellence.  Communication is with internal and external customers.  Must have the ability to multitask.  Misc. other tasks as assigned by management. 

Qualifications

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required

Minimum 1- 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.  Previous experience as a digital machine operator preferred. Average to above average mechanical reasoning abilities helpful.  Experience using a PC and Windows based programs.

Communication & Contacts Required

Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, inspectors, and all plant personnel

Decision Making

Coordination of jobs to printer.  Mechanical troubleshooting.  Priority decisions regarding quality and maintenance.

Education and Knowledge Required

Aptitude to learn digital print technology

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

Manufacturing work environment.  Must be able to work and stand for 8- 12 hour shifts.  Ability to properly load stock regularly bending, kneeling, and stooping.  Lifting up to 20 lbs. frequently and on occassion lifting up to 50 pounds.  Hearing protection and safety shoes required. Strength and manual dexterity needed to move objects.
