Job Description

Vericast’s long history is built in large part upon the success of check products for financial institutions and printed media products in advertising, and our long-term strategy is to invest and grow in our digital business solutions and marketing technology platform. The continued financial performance of our check products and financial institution client base remains a vital objective to the overall success of the company. The critical nature of this product and strategy requires a strong leader who can think creatively and critically, appreciate the complexity of the processes and systems supporting the products today, while identifying and prioritizing opportunities which will drive the highest value.  This requires managing a roadmap of improvements which will allow us to retain and win in the market, improve our cost to deliver, and maintain alignment with consumer and client expectations. 

 

This role is accountable for the P&L performance of Checks and related products (accessories, CashCX, forms, retail channels eCommerce solutions).  It includes development and execution of the product and channel strategy while actively using key leading indicator and performance management metrics to monitor progress and make timely course corrections.  This leader proactively works with Sales, Operations and Software Development, and with his/her the team sets the direction and prioritization for the products to meet market demands and opportunities. This is a highly collaborative role that interacts with external clients, consumers, businesses, and partners, as well as a variety of internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

Scope includes check and related products and all related ordering channels (accessories, CashCX, forms, retail channels eCommerce solutions): 

·       Drives to specific revenue and EBITDA targets for the product by optimizing strategies around the product offering (quantities, packaging, product types, and styles), pricing, ordering experience (branch, web, and phone), marketing and outreach.

·       Competitive strategy - through tight collaboration with the Sales team - develops a winning strategy for competing in the market for these products and maintains a pulse on the strategies and operating models of our competitors.

·       Accountable to effectively lead team and to develop and retain staff by reinforcing the environment of coaching, mentoring, planning, and continuous learning.

·       Sets and communicates the Check (and related products) product roadmap and prioritization - includes clear and well understood process for idea and request intake, evaluation, and prioritization.

·       Helps enable strategies that reward customers for multi-product purchasing such as checks and media advertising.

·       Product performance and associated reporting and analysis (what happened and why); and product forecasting (what will happen).

 

 

 

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Scope includes check and related products and all related ordering channels (accessories, CashCX, forms, retail channels eCommerce solutions):

·       Improved client retention and new client acquisition

·       Stabilized, profitable, and predictable unit volume

·       Maintained gross margins, as defined, through various strategies despite unit decline and increasing costs

·       Defined strategic roadmap of product improvements as well as migration of existing and new clients

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred

·       Minimum of 10 years senior supervisory experience in a Product Management role.

  • Minimum of 15 years Product Management experience in the financial services (banks, credit unions, savings institutions) and financial technology industries.
  • Strong experience in project management and budgeting
