Job Description

The Pricing Manager is responsible for supporting a variety of critical areas related to pricing. This role will support the department with data management, analysis, and reporting. Additionally, partner with sales, marketing and product on account strategy, deal negotiation, contract structuring, and pricing analysis that balances external needs with internal business goals.  Leverage competitive insights and market/vertical expertise to build financial models, pricing proposals, and other relevant financial justification for senior leadership review. 

What You'll Do:

•Support Pricing department data management, analysis, and reporting for all products.

•Responsible for the pricing integrity and strategic rationale of proposals across the product portfolio; including financial analysis (business cost, revenues, financial commitments and accruals) & deal summary (situational analysis including contract terms and obligations), , competitive insights, coordinating and executing the Pricing Proposal, while supporting Pricing Philosophies.

•Partner with Sales, Marketing and product General Managers (including Sr. Leadership) to create competitively priced client solutions, profitable contract terms, and efficient deal structures.

•Serve as cross-functional liaison to major project teams to provide financial input and analytics to improve decision-making.

•Prepare and manage financial impact analysis by providing overall cost, profitability, and other relevant information for approval process, including oversight for most Sr. leadership levels.

•Approval responsibility for contract value according to current Approval process (including contracts in Oracle system), nonstandard items (incentives, guaranteed minimums, rebates, terms and waivers).

•Profit guardians: construct client and/or market level proformas to demonstrate expected reasonable outcomes of business decisions.  Understand top and bottom-line impacts to the company.

•Market and/or vertical level experts responsible for understanding the value of the Vericast offering in the market as well as leveraging competitive insights.

•Perform any required ad hoc financial analysis as required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of pricing or data analytics experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Analytics, or other related discipline, MBA preferred. 

Advanced knowledge in MS Excel required. Highly proficient in key systems: MS Office, SalesForce and Tableau (or similar). 

• Sense of urgency, attention to detail, problem solving skills and accountability.

• Experience working with cross-functional departments (i.e., Sales, Product, and Marketing)

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and executive presence

•Comfortability querying, analyzing and drawing conclusions from large data sets without either direct supervision or firmly defined procedures.
