Job Description

Valassis is seeking a highly motivated Performance Analyst II, to analyze, troubleshoot, and address technical issues as well as develop tools and solutions for process improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly technical role where technical challenges are as diverse as they are abundant. This role will be exciting for those willing to play an integral part working within a team to solve strategic, operational issues. This role will drive the performance of campaigns by working to bridge data and expertise with quantitative, fact based analytical approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with business partners, discussing highly technical topics
  • Troubleshoot issues involving system configuration, behavior, and performance
  • Run tests to ensure proper functioning of system in various environments
  • Design and develop tools for automation and process improvement
  • Analyze large quantities of data to find trends or indications of potential issues
  • Identify areas for system improvement and communicate with development team
  • Contribute to our team’s growing set of development platforms, tools, and processes

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Python preferred
  • Experience with Postgres, Tableau, Spark, a plus
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred
  • Excellent communications skills across multi-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science (or other technical discipline with significant computer coursework) or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working in a technical support or a customer facing roles
