Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting quality group and shift team in the production environment along with using troubleshooting techniques to solve Process Quality related issues.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Required to perform Printer, Bindery, Packaging & Mailroom audits as outlined in training materials.  Inspect problem runs, motion quality, tape test, evaluate, and count spoilage, log problem runs in database, and support team with quality questions.  Attend Team Business Meetings (Huddles) as quality resource, produce samples in MFG, NMAN and MODEL as required.  Support sales requests, fill and process billing for student kit/supply orders, research security and critical customer errors as required.  Additional duties as outlined by PQ Manager and PQ Leader.  

Education & Knowledge Required
High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
Experience with Harland Clarke processes and procedures a plus but not required.  Willingness to train with a desire to increase knowledge of quality duties.* Training will be day shift Monday-Friday*
 
Communication & Contacts Required
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.  Frequently interacts with employees on the work team by sharing information both on the floor and in Team Huddles.
 
Decision Making
Ability to make fact-based decisions with shift Team Leaders.
 
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment. ability to stand up to 12 hours
