Job Description
Regional S&OP Demand Planner
- Europe
- Remote or hybrid depending on your country's rules.
The Regional S&OP Demand Planner owns the rolling 24 months consensus demand forecast and leads the demand planning process to support business growth targets. This role is responsible for forecasting unconstrained demand, incorporating commercial and market intelligence, and identifying risks and opportunities to the plan. The role will coordinate with the Global Demand Planner to continually improve forecasts and plans resulting from the S&OP Commercial Demand Review (CDR) monthly cadence. You will drive data-driven commercial decision-making and ensure alignment with annual business targets.
Job Summary:
- Own the monthly process to develop and maintain the rolling 24-months consensus demand forecast; drive process to consensus with commercial teams and leadership;
- Manage planning across product lifecycles, working with product management to manage NPI/EOL demand profiles;
- Condition sales data and define statistical forecast items by validating sales history and adjusting for outliers and promotions;
- Generate and publish the statistical forecast, reviewing historical accuracy to drive improvements;
- Develop the Consensus Demand Plan by evaluating forecast categories, comparing against annual targets, and tracking actions from Commercial Demand Reviews;
- Manage Annual Plan inputs by adjusting targets and limits (volume, value, margin) to align with corporate objectives;
- Rebalance and publish the Constrained Consensus Demand Plan, collaborating with Supply Planning to mitigate risks;
- Collect and adjust demand inputs from SalesForce, managing opportunities and disaggregating forecasts;
- Lead adoption and use of advanced demand planning systems and analyze data effectively, while monitoring forecasts and ensuring accurate reporting and data analysis;
- Monitor and track the S&OP cycle activities and taskflows within the end to end planning software to continually improve the planning process;
- Engage in programs or policies that maximize finished goods inventory turns / days inventory on-hand;
- Identify and mitigate demand risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, planning, operational planning, finance or sales in water treatment equipment or similar industry
- Experience with planning software, ERP and CRM tools (specifically SAP and SalesForce)
- Strong analytical skills to validate sales history, detect outliers, and generate statistical forecasts
- Ability to lead consensus reviews, communicate and collaborate effectively with commercial/sales teams leaders
- Understanding of product lifecycle management (NPI/EOL)
- Ability to compare scenarios and evaluate impacts on key corporate metrics
- Promote strong lines of respectful communication to work collaboratively and productively with all applicable employees
- Ability to travel on occasion, 20%-35%
Additional Assets:
- Fluent in English, or local language for the region with competent English, with additional competency in languages desired, (e.g., French, Portuguese, Hungarian, Mandarin)
- Certifications from ASCM, and/or IBF, ISM is a plus
- Advanced presentation skills
- Strong Google Suite expertise desired
