Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering sustainable profitable business for Veolia with diligent focus on current accounts and targeting strategic growth with select prospective industrial customers. 

Key priorities will be:

  • Provide account management & associated field services at corporate and regional accounts handling a base of around $0.5 - $1.0MM a year.

  • Develop & close new business opportunities, manage transition and ongoing account management.

  • Work collaboratively with the equipment business to grow the Filters and Membranes product line and promote temporary water solutions at current and growth accounts. 

  • Comply with all safety, health, environment, ethics guidelines always. 

  • Train, supervise, drive accountability of any field service support personnel to embrace and deliver unfailingly on service excellence standards.

  • Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer & Veolia policies

    • Challenge & influence others on safety & compliance standards

    • Ensure all customer documentation is captured & maintained in appropriate databases such as Salesforce

  • Drive growth by creating & selling solutions-based offerings 

    • Present offerings as solutions & not products

    • Build value propositions as part of solution development to differentiate vs competitive alternatives

    • Seek innovative ways to extend product/service offerings to the customer

    • Understand & position all Veolia Flow Products & Services to be sold into base and developing accounts

  • Deliver on commercial imperatives

    • Simultaneously manage a base business with no attrition and adopting sound values of Account Management & Service Excellence

    • Meet financial objectives as defined by Territory Commercial Leader including forecasting on a quarterly basis.

    • Drive price initiatives and margin improvement activities.

    • Clear & regular communication on pipeline activity, sales forecasts & expected orders using Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science or suitable Trades certification

  • Ability to travel locally approximately 20-30% of the time

  • At least 3 years of experience preferably selling and/or marketing water and wastewater treatment solutions and/or technical sales in the Water Treatment industry

  • Strong technical understanding of the water and wastewater treatment subject

  • Experience of handling large, complex account independently

  • Good awareness of Veolia portfolio and solutions offering

  • Strong external focus, with ability to assess customer value of performance, price, operating & maintenance costs, availability and operability

  • Operate independently and deliver business results while demonstrating leadership through action.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
