Job Description
Position Purpose:
This position will provide support in multiple areas of the project.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the compliance data for three client sites. The data management will require the use of multiple platforms including Microsoft products and site specific database programs. Management of the data will require continuous monitoring of results to ensure compliance with NPDES permits. Entering data and generating reports for the client and using the early warning notification system for data out of range is part of the support provided.
- The position will require interaction with site environmental manager at all three sites. The support Veolia provides site managers can relate to air or water permits. The position requires meeting the necessary requirements to achieve Method 9 certification. At all three sites there are air permit requirements that require emission observations. Any observer monitoring emissions is required to have a Method 9 certification. The scheduling of the training and associated costs are absorbed by Veolia.
- Will be assisting on-site managers with special projects. These can be related to air or water permits. This role requires working in a heavy industrial environment with strict safety requirements. The role requires working outdoors and requires walking, climbing steps and acclimation to heat and cold. The role requires individuals to be available to work 5-days per week that may include Saturday and Sunday. Shifts may be longer than 8-hours per day therefore individuals will be required to work overtime if delays in the operations occur. Must be able to obtain the necessary medical clearances to wear a respirator.
- There are multiple areas of focus for client environmental managers. This position can result in an extended commitment at one facility. The role would be to work closely with the on-site manager to not only address permit related issues but potentially waste related issues, spill response, area investigations or other environmental related activities.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- College degree with an emphasis on environmental sciences or biology preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
- Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Experience in a related position or industrial environment preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must demonstrate ability to work and communicate in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Computer skills including Microsoft and Google programs.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Must obtain (or have) a Method 9 certification within a designated time frame.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
