Job Description

Job Summary
Independently authors, enacts and monitors EH&S programs, procedures, audits and compliance
activities for manufacturing or service delivery site(s). Leads within an area of specialization to author
and administer programs for the greater region.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Participates in planning and developing EHS programs and operations; evaluates quality of services and operational performance; assesses compliance with Veolia policy, local, state and federal regulations through program audits; makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Assists business managers in their preparation of safety and health initiatives and budgets and in responses to customer EH&S surveys. Leads and participates in sustainability initiatives and reporting.
  • Demonstrates depth and breadth of knowledge in hazard recognition, evaluation and control. Initiates and drives the development and execution of tactical and strategic initiatives to eliminate hazards and reduce or eliminate associated risks.
  • May supervise others in one or multiple locations.
  • Creates policies and procedures for others to inherit and follow.
  • Work is independently directed and is supervised by a senior leader likely offsite.
  • Influences and guides operational team and leaders on how to be a safety leader. Promotion of behavioral based safety
  • Leads incident investigations
  • Leads EHS audits

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of producing presentations and other training materials.
  • Works independently and works through interpersonal issues resulting in a successful project and teamwork.
  • Effectively trains on high risk management standards and other WTS EHS requirements
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities for wellbeing enhancement and psychosocial risks
     

Education & Experience
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years in EHS leadership or support positions.

● Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.  The range is
not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills,
experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.  Depending upon all the preceding
considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the
stated range: $93,081 - $119,082
