Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks in the production and shipment of Recyclepak boxes and pails. Operates equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, bailers, compactors, air compressors, strappers, scanners, packaging systems and heat tunnels.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and compliant work environment at all times. Works safely and wears appropriate PPE for task.
- Complies with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
- Loads and unloads trucks.
- Constructs packaging/boxes/containers and prepares for shipment.
- Operate packaging equipment effectively.
- Moves material within the facility using appropriate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet trucks, forklifts, etc. Operates and performs routine maintenance/inspections on packaging equipment and strappers.
- Prepares large Recyclepak orders for shipment.
- Operates corrugate bailer.
- Performs general housekeeping duties and maintains a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of VES-TS standard operating procedures, policies, and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
- Ability to work well in team environment
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Valid driver's license.
- Forklift Certification
