Job Description
Veolia WTS Minnetonka Center of Excellence is seeking an Engineering Leader. This role will have full
responsibility for the engineering, maintenance, and reliability organizations at the Minnetonka Filters &
Membrane Supply Chain organization. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively involved in EHS initiatives and drives safety first philosophy
- Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and develop a complete process &
- product characterization for all major equipment across the plant.
- Develop and manage engineering & maintenance budgets that support corporate objectives
- Focus on production support ranging from Membrane (Pure water membrane and Process
- membrane), Elements and Filters, and E-SEP (Electroseparation) production.
- Responsible for integrating new membrane manufacturing concepts related to web handling
- and advanced polymer coating technology.
- Provides technical guidance and troubleshooting guides to a focused team of manufacturing
- engineers and operations, as well as other cross-functional group members (ranging from
- Technology, planning, operations, commercial).
- Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to membrane coating and support equipment
- engineering requirements and process improvements.
- Ensure cost savings projects are identified and prioritized to complete on time
- Identify sustainability improvement opportunities to meet our GreenUp targets to reduce GHG
- emissions
- Ownership of capacity expansion projects in line with the business’s Medium-Term Plan
- Drive Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy across the site, ensuring alignment across
- engineering projects and maintenance execution plans and scheduling.
- Drive discipline on RCA and MOC.
- Drives solutions to new manufacturing processes and project concepts
- Works as a conduit between technology and operations to support the execution of new
- products
- Active in seeking and understanding membrane/advanced membrane technology
Compensation
$150,000-165,000 annually, depending on experience, including an up to 15% annual bonus.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 10+ years of leadership experience in engineering & manufacturing
- Leadership experience in maintenance organizations
- Web handling experience
- Experience planning and managing large capital projects
- Knowledge and experience in applying Lean Six Sigma manufacturing principles.
- Proven track record of CI implementation with ownership and sustainable results
- Influencing and coaching skills
- Ability to create and analyze metrics
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex processes, synthesize data and
- results, and drive toward insight and solutions
- Able to identify significant deviations from the operating plan and budget and work with site
- leaders to identify corrective actions using appropriate continuous improvement tools (kaizen,
- visual systems, 5S, gemba, six sigma, LEAN
Preferred:
- Membrane engineering experience, Polymeric material coating, and membrane processing
- experience
- Controls experience
- Formal Lean Six Sigma certification
