Job Description

As an Account Manager with the Chemical Solutions & Monitoring Division of Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions, you will be responsible for the overall technical and commercial performance of existing contractual agreements with our clients throughout Connacht, Athlone and the Limerick area.


You will develop long-term partnerships and work closely with these clients to ensure the highest level of service and technical performance of our products & services. A critical aspect of the Account Manager role is to help our clients achieve their sustainability objectives using the expertise and extensive portfolio of technologies that Veolia can offer.


You will work to commercial targets, to grow our business through our existing client base, and
through development of new business opportunities, promoting our range of specialty water and
process chemicals and monitoring technologies.


What will your week look like?
Working with clients and prospects to meet desired service needs and provide technical support.
Developing and executing customer account plans, coordinating all proposal activity, from
generating quotes to processing POs.
Managing customer relationships and escalating customer concerns for resolution.
Coordinating support resources to maintain and grow existing and win / close new accounts.
Participating in plant visits, audit/survey and any trial working.  Where required, conducting
appropriate water analysis/testing and reporting.
Maintaining the integrity of strategies and implementing sales / marketing programs to achieve sales
goals within your assigned territory/market.
Meeting or exceeding assigned quotas and targets (activities and results).
Driving the right behaviours around Safety, Team Work, Company strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Technically qualified in Chemical, Biological, Environmental, Engineering or similar environment - or time-served in the industry
  • Essential to this role is the ability to build and develop relationships with customers whilst supporting multiple managers and teams.
  • Outstanding communication ability across all platforms and customer service skills that are a natural extension of your personality.
  • Our most successful Account Managers are motivated, goal orientated and well organised,  with excellent time management and prioritisation abilities.
  • A full driving licence valid for use in Ireland is a must.

Preferred Skills:

  • Keen interest and positive attitude towards technical and personal learning and development.
  • Knowledge of water treatment, specialty chemicals & services is an advantage.
