Fexcity, a leading European energy tech company, is looking for a  Power-to-heat Product Manager to join our Product team.  This position offers the opportunity to join the Flexcity Product team alongside skilled colleagues from different backgrounds at the company headquarters in Brussels.

Historically, heat-intensive industries have relied on natural gas to produce steam and hot water. But things are changing! With the massive rollout of renewables and the push of sectors toward decarbonisation, they must adopt alternative methods for generating industrial heat. We believe Power-to-Heat technologies—such as electric boilers (boilers), heat pumps, and thermal storage—will be essential in driving this transition! 

In this context, Flexcity is building out a significant portfolio of power-to-heat assets throughout Europe that it operates and optimises.

Role

As a Power-to-heat Product Manager, you will focus on this emerging market, where Flexcity aims to be a market leader.
 

Within the Product Team, you will be part of the Power-to-heat team. This cross-functional team includes data scientists, software developers, local sales, and local portfolio managers. Your role is divided into the following:

Business Development - 50% 

• Create a standard offering for Power-To-Heat customers

• Pilot new contract offerings (Heat-as-a-Service, Heat Storage)

• Support on complex sales 

• Set up partnerships with parties such as E-Boiler installers or thermal battery providers

• Gain a deep understanding of Power-To-Heat technology and energy markets

Set up the Power-To-Heat sales machine - 25% 

• Coordinate with sales in all Flexcity countries

• Share Power-To-Heat knowledge with the country teams

• Support with lead generation and marketing projects

Build the Power-To-Heat product - 25% 

• Coordinate between the commercial and technical side of the business

• Translate project requirements to technical specifications and coordinate efforts of data scientists and/or software developers 

• Design and optimise the Flexcity Power-To-Heat product

Key Qualifications

Hard Skills

• Fluent in English and French or Dutch, trilingual being a strong plus
