Position overview:
-The Process and Controls Engineering internship will be a rotational program in which eight months are spent with the Process Engineering team followed by eight months with the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) team.


With the Process Engineering team, you will support the team with water process design and technical writing tasks such as developing process design documentation, tools and
procedures, and analysing performance data to generate customer facing reports. You will work closely with technical experts in plant design to refine our internal design tools and procedures.


As part of the EI&C team, you will participate in a wide range of cross-functional design
review meetings and help with developing the process control documents and programming design of industrial control systems for cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment systems.


Nature of work:
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
 Collaborate in project process and controls design review meetings.
 Help create process and controls documents for water and wastewater treatment
systems.
 Contribute to the development of company standards and templates.
 Develop performance test procedures, analyze collected results and prepare
customer facing detailed reports.
 Develop team productivity tools.
 Support with project issue resolution related to design, start-up and performance.

Minimum requirements:
 Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Environmental
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other
related technical discipline.


Useful skills or abilities
While on-the-job training will be provided, candidates may benefit from previous knowledge
and exposure in the following areas:
 Understanding of hydraulics and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
 Understanding of basic water chemistry and/or treatment processes.
 Understanding of process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrumentation diagrams
(P&IDs), process controls, and electrical/network design concepts.
 Water treatment experience would be an asset.
