Role Summary

To be part of the VWTS Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) and contribute to the development of business excellence projects. We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, web technologies, and database management. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure web applications.

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications using Java 7  and Above and related frameworks

• Create responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Design and implement database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance using MySQL

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement new features

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and coding standards

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.js

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

• Java migration experience from lower version to higher version

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns

• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development

• Experience with MySQL database design, implementation, and optimization

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Capacity to understand technical concepts in water treatment systems and physio-chemical calculations 

•  Experience with AWS, JIRA 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/EC/IT or MCA or Computer Science

• 5-8 years of experience in Java development, with proficiency in Java 7 and above, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, MYSQL
• Experience in developing responsive web applications 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
