Veolia Near & Middle East (VNME) headquarters provides essential business support and expertise to its diverse local entities, ensuring the effective implementation of Veolia Group strategies, policies, processes, and tools tailored to local needs. The finance department plays a crucial role that extends far beyond traditional accounting. As a strategic partner, it drives value creation across all corporate functions. Job Description

Main Accountabilities

The scope of the Financial Analyst Middle East covers the three main businesses of Veolia Middle East - Water, Waste, and Energy - under various contractual schemes and business models. This encompasses approximately 60 reporting entities across 9 countries, for a consolidated turnover.

The role involves preparing financial reports for Veolia Middle and Near East, including actuals, forecasts, and budgets. The analyst will also perform analysis of reporting for all entities within the scope. The Financial Analyst will be reporting to the Head of Controlling and Reporting.

Detailed Job Description

  • Coordinate closings for accuracy of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow items
  • Manage timely submission by subsidiaries in consolidation software
  • Monitor data and ensure reporting adheres to IFRS standards during consolidation
  • Update and improve consolidation data on Google Sheets
  • Maintain various reports (KFIs, Efficiency, Segments allocation, etc…)
  • Prepare reports for Key Financial Indicators and detailed P&L/ BS Analysis
  • Create and deliver monthly results presentations within strict deadlines
  • Manage Veolia consolidation Tool closings for accuracy and timely submission
  • Align data with Veolia definitions and standards
  • Manage budget and forecast cycles, including annual and monthly submissions, bi-annual forecast updates and annual long-term plan preparation.
  • Enhance automation of all reporting processes
  • Optimize reporting formats for efficiency
  • Provide ad hoc analyses and reports as required by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial controlling and reporting 
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting software
  • Experience with consolidation tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
