Position Purpose:
The HR Operations Specialist is the initial point of contact to enter employee data changes and to resolve data discrepancy issues. The HR Operations Specialist records and tracks employee change forms via Salesforce (case management tool), tracking from initiation to completion, escalating issues and seeking advice when needed. The incumbent is responsible for HRIS data entry with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Completes data entry into the HRIS system for all employee changes including new hires, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments etc. ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
- Work with HRBPs to resolve questions relating to employee data and any issues that arise from calls or email inquiries.
- Ensures employee personnel files are up to date with any changes/forms and employee information.
- Continually monitors and recommends ways to make HR operations processes efficient and effective.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, especially in human resources or customer service fields.
- 1-2 years of experience in human resources required or related fields.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong computer skills required, especially in Excel, HRIS systems, Case Management tools.
- Ability to problem solve / research questions.
- Strong customer service and phone presence skills required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in writing.
- Maturity in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
