2 opening : Health & Safety Manager

Job Location:Karnataka

Job Location  :Mohali

Reporting to Head - QHSE, Veolia India Pvt. Ltd., your role will be to manage and implement Veolia’s Environment, Health and Safety policies and management guidelines and ensure the safety of all employees and contract workforce, at all times.

The position also has “dotted-line” reporting to the Head of the entity/project (Project head, whichever is applicable) within the assigned area of responsibility.

 

Key responsibilities:

➢      Lead the implementation of Veolia’s Occupational Health and Safety policies, management guidelines

➢      Define, follow-up and review H&S action plans

➢      Ensure the compliance of O&M Services with OH&S standards (national and the group), legislation and contractual requirements

➢      Analyse performance achievements related to OH&S and when necessary recommend changes to procedures

➢      Report the H&S key performance indicators (Monthly, Quarterly and Annually)

➢      Organize and perform audits, regular Site Inspection visits

➢      Identify training needs related to occupational health, safety and environment and implementation of the same. Communicate effectively and regularly, organize awareness programs, workshops for the workforce to create a positive safety culture

➢      Manage accidents at work: Investigations, Root cause Analysis of the incident, preventive action plans

➢      Carry out and update the documentary databases: HAZOP, HIRA, PTW’s, JSA, prevention plans. Maintain with the operational teams, risk assessment documents as well as the prevention plans and specific operating methods/procedures associated with the operations.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Experience

●      Graduate in Environment, Health & Safety sector or related

●      Post graduate in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH/IOSH or related certifications

●      Total Experience, preferably in the municipal water sector : > 10 years

●      Senior Management Experience : > 5 years

Additional Information

Personal attributes:

●      Strong interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels

●      Must be fluent in English and preferably the local language

●      Project Management skills and organisational skills for coordinating team work

●      Computer literacy especially Excel, G-Suite, Microsoft Project and the ability to learn new tools

●      Good report writing and presentation skills
