Veolia Water Milwaukee Summer Intern Needs 2022
Capital Projects (1)
Duties
Will assist Capital Group with the development and execution of Material Capital Repair or Replacements (MCRR) Project Requests
Assist in the facilitation of projects which will require collaboration between contractors, client, and Veolia staffs.
Qualifications
Minimum Sophomore Standing
Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
Working towards a Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, etc.)
Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point a must
Good communication skills required with the ability to express information in a clear and concise manner
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the wastewater treatment process and associated equipment a plus
Conveyance (1)
Duties
Research wastewater collection/conveyance system record drawing information.
Research wastewater collection/conveyance equipment and materials for master specification updates.
Gather wastewater collection/conveyance equipment operation and maintenance (O&M) information.
Update wastewater collection/conveyance O&M manuals including flow diagrams, figures, and photos.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have completed two to four semesters of education in civil/environmental or Mechanical engineering.
Must have great attention to detail with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Should be proficient in Google suites and Microsoft Office products.
Must be able to walk over uneven terrain and up & down stairs while wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
A valid driver's license and a good driving record at time of application, during the selection process, and throughout the internship is required.
Asset Management (1)
Duties
Will assist Asset Management Department with Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Documentation, Process Improvement, Project Development, and Organization
Assist in the facilitation of projects which will require collaboration between contractors, client, and Veolia staffs.
Qualifications

Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
Working towards a Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, etc.), Fresh Water Science, Facilities Management, or Waste Water Treatment
Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Google Suite experience preferred
Good communication skills required with the ability to express information in a clear and concise manner

Knowledge of the wastewater treatment process and associated equipment a plus
Operations (1)
Duties
Reporting to the Jones Island and South Shore Process Control Engineers, the Operations Intern will work directly with plant operations staff to improve process efficiencies.
On a daily basis, the Operations intern collects various samples throughout the plant for analysis. The samples could be collected from any area of the process flow. The interns run various analyses on the collected samples and record the values in spreadsheets for future analysis.
The Operations intern will be exposed to the wastewater treatment process, including daily plant process discussions and decision making.
Support pilot projects related to wastewater operations
Qualifications
Completed coursework in wastewater
Experience with common wastewater lab equipment
Written and verbal communication skills
Experience with spreadsheets
Office (1)
Duties
Assist Office Manager in drafting and updating documents
Assist HR in organizing daily activities to include recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and training.
Assist in planning short and long range work activities
Assist in maintaining safety records
Assist in the implementation of new programs we are reviewing
Assist Marketing in facilitating communications, and planning events
Qualifications
Education –at least a sophomore in business management, HR, or general studies.
Computer Skills – Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Google Mail. Knowledge of Google Sheets, and Google Docs preferred.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail orientated and able to work alone with little direction.
