Job Description

As a key member of Vention’s Operations team, you will play an essential role in maintaining accurate supply chain data to support efficient inventory management and procurement processes. Your primary responsibility will be to update, validate, and analyze supply chain data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.

You will work closely with internal teams to keep inventory records up to date, support order management, and assist with data reporting. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and comfortable working with large datasets in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Maintain and update supply chain data, including inventory records, supplier details, and product information.
  • New Product Data Support: Ensure accurate data entry for new product introductions, maintaining consistency across systems.
  • Part Number Creation: Generate and manage part numbers in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, ensuring accuracy and proper classification.
  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Create and maintain both direct and indirect purchase orders (POs) to support procurement and operational needs.
  • Standardization & Accuracy: Ensure that bills of materials (BOMs) and product data are structured consistently across all product lines.
  • Excel Reporting & Analysis: Use Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas) to track key inventory metrics and generate reports.
  • Inventory & Order Updates: Assist in maintaining accurate ordering schedules, supplier data, and replenishment needs.
  • Data Integrity & Validation: Identify and correct data inconsistencies to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • System Support: Work with internal teams to enhance data workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Support cross-functional teams by providing up-to-date data and resolving discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications

  • CEGEP diploma (DEC), DEP, professional certification, or equivalent expertise in a related field.
  • Experience in data analysis, inventory management, or procurement support within a supply chain or operations environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data validation tools.
  • Experience with creating and managing purchase orders (POs) in an ERP/MRP system.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and maintaining organized records.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory tracking software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
