Job Description
Reporting to the Quality Director, you will be responsible for conducting quality control and assurance tasks, generating documentation, processes, and standards, and coordinating problem-solving initiatives with different stakeholders internally and with our global supplier base.
Your mission will be to ensure customer satisfaction by keeping high-quality standards for automation products. More specifically you will:
- Develop & optimize IQC processes for automation components
- Develop & optimize OQC processes for automation components
- Assist CM with automation process by providing feedback
- Assist the customer success team with client related issues
- Support Engineering team on the RMA Investigation
- Assist the production manager in coaching the automation production line with manufacturing and electrical issues
- Control final quality approval for automation products
- Ensure compliance according to manufacturing standards.
- Perform RCA on electrical and automation assemblies.
- Contribute to the improvement of the current automation product line by improving cost, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with the Operation Team to ensure fulfillment success.
- Create and maintain assembly work instructions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical mindset, with expertise with statistical tools such as control card
- Experience in quality management systems (ISO, …) and continuous improvement methodologies (lean, six sigma, …)
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and best practices in manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and production documents
- Basic knowledge in electrical engineering
- Experience with IPC standards (an asset)
- Programming knowledge in Python, C++
- Experience in Linux environment
