Job Description

As a key member of Vention's Operations team, reporting to the VP of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain accurate supply chain data, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement in our processes. You will support the team by ensuring data accuracy, monitoring performance metrics, and facilitating communication between stakeholders in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

More specifically, you will:

  • Inventory Data Management: Accurately maintain and update inventory records and master data, ensuring data integrity and alignment with supply chain needs.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • S&OP Support: Provide analytical support and insights to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, contributing to data-driven decisions.
  • Order Management: Assist in the creation and maintenance of ordering plans, ensuring that supplier delivery schedules are up to date. Update the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system accordingly to meet replenishment needs.
  • Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with software developers to enhance master data related functionalities.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate critical supply and demand issues to key stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external business partners to support smooth supply chain operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business Management, Logistics or a related field 
  • Work related experience
  • Knowledge of inventory level mathematics, including daily demand, safety stock, reorder points and economic order quantity
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Problem-solving aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Familiar with logistics and production planning concepts
  • Problem-solving skills
  • APICS or SCMP certification an asset
