Job Description

Looking to drive growth and increased profitability in a fast-growing start-up?  

As part of a small, but mighty FP&A team, you will partner closely with the Sales & Marketing and R&D teams at Vention to provide insightful financial analysis, support strategic decision-making, and drive business performance.  This role reports to the Director, FP&A.

More specifically, you will:

  • Develop actionable management reporting and dashboards to highlight key performance metrics, variances, and trends
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and operating reviews to track business success
  • Conduct “deep dives” and other ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, or risk mitigation efforts
  • Own ongoing model development and prepare business cases to evaluate the ROI of growth initiatives and product launches
  • Develop and maintain quarterly KPI and P&L forecasts and evaluate different scenarios
  • Prepare annual operating budgets and top-line growth plans
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Directors, VPs, and C-Suite executives to help them meet or exceed their goals and objectives
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • 3-5 years FP&A experience (budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and reporting)
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and significant financial modeling experience
  • Proven track record of driving significant impact in complex business situations
  • Must have a builder’s mentality and growth mindset
  • Love of new challenges and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
