Job Description

As an Accounting Technician at Vention, you will have the opportunity to work in a world class team with dynamic and talented professionals, assisting with our day to day accounting. In your role, you will perform a wide array of full-cycle accounting functions including the timely and accurate month, quarter and year-end of the company.

What you will be doing: 

  • Manage the entry of vendor invoices into our accounting systems to ensure timely payment by our finance team
  • Collect receipt and reconcile credit card transactions
  • Review and process expense reimbursements
  • Prepare batch payments and support cash flow optimization
  • Execute key controls to ensure accurate financial and operational data
  • Maintain and balance various account reconciliation using manual and computerized systems   
  • Support automatization and process improvement of various recurring accounting tasks 
  • Support the finance team in special projects to support the rapid growth of the business. 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in monthly accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Excel, Word
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French, German is considered an asset
  • Experience in a mid to large-sized audited company is an asset
  • Experience or knowledge using Netsuite is an asset
