Job Description

As part of Vention's Procurement team, reporting to the VP of procurement and strategic
sourcing, you will be part of a team of 5 supply chain experts, operating a global procurement network made of hundreds of suppliers and 2,000+ SKUs. You will be responsible of executing tactical, strategic and development activities to promote a competitive advantage for Vention and support customer driven needs.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Responsible for the execution of the overall purchasing process from preparation and
execution of tenders to order fulfillment including screening of purchasing requisitions and
issuance of purchase orders.
● Develop, issue and analyze comprehensive RFx
● Manage PO’s and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance.
● Ensure effective engagement, collaboration and cooperation with internal clients and
suppliers
● Identify and evaluate areas of opportunity for cost reduction
● Perform Total Cost of Ownership evaluations and supply-market research.
● Engage with key partners to establish deep supplier relationships.
● Understand competitive landscape and market trends to identify business opportunities.
● Lead vendor, contract and parts negotiations
● Execute sourcing strategies and procurement plans to support Vention’s corporate and
internal client’s strategies and objectives.
● Work collaboratively with internal clients, functional SME’s and suppliers to define
requirements, timing and scope

Qualifications

  • You have a business degree in electrical, mechanical or industrial Studies;
  • You bring 5+ years’ experience in a senior global procurement position;
  • You have excellent communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary team;
  • You have firm understanding of procurement process and corporate governance
  • principles;
  • You have Excellent organizational skills and pay close attention to details. Your work is always up to date.
  • You have a strong ability to build and maintain relationships, internally and externally.
  • You have a passion for negotiations. Ability to develop fact-based recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • You showed the ability to work in a fast-paced (next day deliveries) and high volume (parcel shipments) with energy and enthusiasm;
  • Business savvy with excellent problem-solving techniques and methods to understand cost breakdowns and associated cost drivers of manufacturing processes.
  • You have an interest in engineering topics and are curious to learn more.
  • Previous Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • APICS or SCMP certification is an asset
