In May 2022, with 300 employees (and growing), Vention announced the closing of US$95M in Series C financing, which will be used to grow Vention's go-to-market strategy, expand the company's global distribution footprint, and accelerate the development of its hardware and software platform.

Job Description

As the Director of Strategic Alliances , you will work within the Sales team to build and manage the OEM Channel playbook. More specifically, the role involves:

  • Hold accountability for achieving a revenue target from partner-generated leads
  • Develop trust-based relationships with the sales / business development teams at our core OEM partners
  • Co-create a program with partners to generate leads and pipeline for Vention's sales team
  • Organize quarterly business reviews with key partner stakeholders to continuously optimize and deepen value-creating relationships
  • Structure internal processes and controls to coordinate and optimize cross-functional discussions with partners (including marketing, sales, BD, operations, product)
  • Define KPIs to evaluate and report on the partnership performance over time, and identify initiatives to improve those KPIs
  • Map internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage and streamline communications.

Qualifications

  • You bring 8+ years industry experience serving the manufacturing sector (or equivalent experience related to Vention)
  • You have a degree and a Master in business, economics, or engineering
  • You bring industry knowledge of automation space (Robotics, PLC, Automation Integration, etc.)
  • You have strong presentation and negotiation skills, at ease with C-suite or business owners
  • You are a self-starter with the ability to stay on task while working remotely
  • You thrive on the pace and dynamics of a growth stage company and can evidence that experience
  • You are home-office based in Canada or the USA with the expectation of up to 50% travel throughout North America
